There are several benefits to including cinnamon in your diet, but, we will focus on a couple of important reasons here...
Studies have shown that cinnamon helps improve insulin sensitivity. Many individuals have a genetic predisposition to insulin resistance. Hence they need more insulin to do the job of glucose regulation. The increased levels of insulin can then cause hormonal irregularities, heart problems and even fatty liver. Include some cinnamon powder in your smoothies, boil a small stick of cinnamon in water or soak a stick of cinnamon in water overnight and drink, and see your blood sugar control improve!
Cinnamon also possesses excellent anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties Gargle with warm salt water and a pinch of cinnamon powder to help that scratchy throat. It’s a better option than reaching for those lozenges or cough drops!
